Hey friends!!! Sorry I haven’t posted in so long, this semester has gotten the best of me! Well just an update, I am officially FULLY funded! I had a fundraiser poker night/silent auction which raised me nearly $700! It is true when people say that your trip begins even before you get to the country. These past few months have shown me how loved I am by God and the people in my life, and how much they all care about the people in Malawi! It has definitely been a faith-building experience and I feel extremely supported in SO many ways! Thank you to everyone who has come along side me in this amazing journey. Today I got my Typhoid shot, so the reality has sunken in even more. In less than 3 weeks, I will be on my way to Africa with amazing friends. I cannot wait to see how my heart will be changed by the people there. Once again, thank you all!

Sometimes, you check your email expecting the same ‘ol same ‘ol, like updates from Amazon and Southwest Airlines. Hello! Just wanted to give you all an update on my trip! I sent out my support letters in December and I am $250 closer to my $3000 goal! That number scares me just a bit, but I am strangely at peace about it! I can be a bit of a worry wart, and this always seems to help me:

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself” (Matthew 6:34)

I am currently brainstorming ideas for fundraising, so any suggestions would be appreciated!

This Friday I am going to San Diego to visit my boyfriend Kris and we are going to get the final footage for my Taryn to Malawi video! Kris has blessed me with his time and video talents to provide me with a video to raise awareness for my trip! Its gonna look siiiiiick!
